Level: I know how to thread and use a sewing machine. I have made at least one project.
Objectives: Learn the right techniques to save time and succeed in my sewing projects. Create a sample book to which I can refer following the course.
Duration: 5 lessons / 3 hours per lesson / 1 lesson per week / total of 15 hours
Materials : You will have access to one of our sewing machines, our tutorial and our tools. We will provide pre-cut fabrics for all your samples, as well as notions such as zippers and buttons.
Price: $295 (taxes included)
Minimum 2 students / Maximum 5 students
What you’ll learn: You will make several samples and learn several techniques, tips and finishes that will allow you to be more successful in your projects. Following this course, you will be able to choose the right finishes for the type of fabric and project you are working on, make your own decisions and therefore be less dependent on the instruction booklet. In our opinion, this course is the ideal option after graduating from an introductory sewing course because it will allow you to become more independent and unleash your creativity.
- Lesson 1: Assembling techniques (open, topstitched, flat felled and French seams) as well as hemming techniques (simple, sport, denim, micro, and invisible hems).
- Lesson 2 : Finishing techniques (neckline facings and full facings, bias fabrication and installation for double and simple folded bias binding).
- Lesson 3 : Fit details (different types of darts, pleats and gathers)
- Lesson 4: Closure systems (centered and invisible zipper)
- Lesson 5 : Closure systems (fly zipper and buttonholes)

This course follows a well-structured format, which makes it difficult to arrange make-up sessions. Being present and on time for each class will greatly enhance your learning experience and is sincerely appreciated. :)
