Refund policy
Life is full of unexpected events, and we understand that some situations are beyond your control.
As our sewing classes are offered in small groups, their smooth running depends on your presence and collaboration.
Out of respect for other students and the La Fabrique éthique team, we invite you to read and carefully follow our absence and make-up class policy.
GROUP CLASSES
Cancellation, rescheduling, and refund of a group class session
- You may cancel or reschedule your registration by email up to 48 hours before the start your session. A refund will be issued minus the 3% processing fee charged by Visa and Mastercard. The refund will appear in your account within 5 to 10 business days.
- After this deadline, a refund will be issued minus 10% of the total amount, in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act.
- However, you may reschedule the session or transfer your spot to another person, provided that you notify us before the class begins.
- Only one session reschedule is permitted. If a second rescheduled session is cancelled, the registration will be forfeited and non-refundable.

Late arrival to a group class
- Each class lasts 3 hours at a fixed time.
- If you arrive early, please wait until the instructor opens the door before entering.
- In case of late arrival, please notify the team by email at studio@lafabriqueethique.com, then join the group discreetly.
- No discount or compensation will be offered for late arrivals or early departures.
Absence, make-up class, and refund for a missed group class
- You may make-up one class per session.
- If you expect to miss more than one class, please contact us before registering to see if accommodations can be made.
- All absences must be reported by email before the class starts. Without this notice, no make-up will be possible.
- Make-up class requests must be submitted via the booking page on our website. Appointments cannot be made by phone.
- The make-up class must take place within 8 weeks of your absence. If no appointment is booked within this time frame, the make-up opportunity will be forfeited.
- If no dates are available during the current session, the make-up may be deferred to the next session. Available time slots are posted starting in the second week of each session, and only while sessions are in progress.
- We do our best to offer varied time slots. It is your responsibility to make yourself available for one of them.
- We cannot be held responsible if your schedule does not allow you to attend. In case of special circumstances, feel free to write to us at studio@lafabriqueethique.com.
- Missed classes that are not made up are non-refundable.
PRIVATE CLASSES
Cancellation, rescheduling, and refund of a private class
- You may cancel or reschedule a private class up to 24 hours before the scheduled time.
- A refund will be issued minus the 3% processing fee. Bank processing time is 5 to 10 business days. After this deadline, a $30 administration fee will be charged to the credit card associated with your booking.
- If you used a gift certificate, the fee will be deducted from its value.
- In case of cancellation or rescheduling, you must:
- Notify your teacher by email
- Use the modification link provided in the confirmation email or in the 48-hour reminder email
- If the class is rescheduled, the payment is automatically transferred to the new appointment.
Late arrival to a private class
- If you are running late, please notify your teacher by email.
- If you are more than 15 minutes late, you will receive an email to confirm you are on your way. If no response is received 30 minutes after the class start time, the class will be cancelled, and a $30 fee will be charged.
- Each private class lasts 3 hours at a fixed time. It is not possible to extend the class in case of late arrival or early departure.
- If you do not show up without notifying us, you will receive an automatic email indicating that you missed your appointment. After this, it will no longer be possible to book a private class via our website.
OPEN STUDIO
Cancellation, Rescheduling, and Refund - Open Studio Access
You may cancel or reschedule your access to you access to the Open Studio up to 24 hours before it starts, using the link provided in your confirmation email.
After this deadline, please contact us by email: studio@lafabriqueethique.com
If you have already made a payment and wish to cancel your appointment, a refund will be issued minus a 3% bank processing fee. Please allow 5 to 10 business days for the refund to be processed.
If you wish to reschedule your appointment, your payment will be retained and applied to your next booking.
