Private Lesson - Repair, Adjust & Upcycle

Level: All levels!

Objectives: Discover techniques to repair, alter, and upcycle your garments, with the personalized guidance of a skilled instructor — and learn how to express your creativity through remodeling your own clothes!

Duration: 3 hours. Please note: Sewing takes time… Depending on your project, multiple sessions may be needed.

Materials: Bring your own sewing machine or use one of ours at the studio. Fabrics and supplies are included, except for the garments you wish to repair or transform. A variety of fabrics is available on-site — some are free, while others are available for purchase. Depending on your project, you may need to buy additional fabric separately. Please note that the cost of these external purchases is not included in the course fee.

Price: $100 (taxes included)

This course will be taught in French or English according to your preference.

What you'll learn: This 3-hour private lesson will help you give a second life to your clothes while building practical, sustainable skills. With personalized guidance from a caring instructor and the use of a domestic sewing machine, you’ll learn how to:

• Mend a hole or damaged seam
• Replace a worn-out part
• Adjust a garment by letting it out, taking it in, shortening, or lengthening
• Personalize or transform a piece however you like

Your favourite clothes, secondhand finds, or forgotten keepsakes become the raw material for your creativity. A hands-on workshop to learn a different way of sewing with freedom, curiosity, and intention.
