Who are we ?

We are a friendly and passionate sewing school, dedicated to supporting creative individuals in bringing their textile projects to life in a warm and welcoming environment.

What are the main functions of a teacher?

  • Teach beginner-level group sewing classes and support each student in completing their project.
  • (If desired) teach personalized private lessons: learning to use a machine, adjusting a pattern, repairing clothes, creating basic blocks or patterns.

All these functions are offered with flexibility to adapt to your strengths and professional interests.

How does a typical course unfold?

Here's an example of how a "Learn to Sew" course session unfolds:

  • 3 hours per week for 5 consecutive weeks

1. Class 1: Explain textile fibers and fabric behavior. Teach proper cutting techniques, how a sewing machine works, how to thread it, and complete a small zippered pouch.

2. Class 2: Explain how a sewing pattern works, basic pattern adjustment concepts, and how to take measurements. Select a project with the students from those available at the studio and begin tracing the pattern.

3. Class 3: Cut the pattern, perform a fitting, and adjust the pattern as needed. Cut the fabric and begin construction.

4. Classes 4 and 5: Teach construction techniques and guide each student in completing their chosen project.
